HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE FOR SHIPPING?
We try to keep our shipping costs to the absolute minimum. We hate people thatgive low prices then gouge you on the shipping to make up their money. We neverdo that. We charge you what it cost to ship and items plus whatever it costsus for packaging. This means the cost of the materials and the time it takes someone to package up the items.
Shipping for Seeds Within the United States.
For small (standard) packets we charge $1.10 for the first packet. Additional packets will be charged according to their weight This we calculate from the post office rate chart and charge you what they state plus a small amount extra for packaging. (envelopes and packing do cost money). In these cases you will need to add the items to your shopping cart before you can determine the shipping costs. You can use the estimate shipping option in the shopping cart to get the price that you will be charged. We hate sites that surprise you with shipping in the end.
Shipping for Preserves.
Preserves are shipped by weight. To find the shipping costs add items to the shopping cart then use the estimate shipping to find the cost. Since preserves weigh quite a bit the shipping in going to be higher. Also it takes more packaging to ensure that the items arrive in excellent condition.
Shipping for Dried Flowers.
Packaging dried flowers well so that they arrive in the best possible condition unfortunately puts up the cost of shipping. Since each order is different we can only estimate how much the shipping will cost. To find the cost add the items to the shopping cart and use the estimate shipping function.
Flowers may not weigh that much but packaging them costs more, often more than the shipping. This means that shipping costs on dried flowers is higher. We are not happy with the price we have to charge for shipping these items but careful packaging is necessary to ensure the items arrive in the best possible condition. We are continually experimenting with packaging and searching for new and better ways to package these items to reduce the shipping costs but so far have not found a satisfactory solution that keeps down cost and protects the shipped items. HOW DO YOU SHIP ORDERS?
Small seed orders are sent via the United States Post Office, these will come in a regular envelope and have no tracking information. Larger orders are shipped either as first class package or priority mail and have tracking information. Bulky orders may be sent UPS and also have tracking info. We try as much as possible to keep shipping charges as low as possible Back
HOW SOON DO YOU SHIP ORDERS?
We try as much as possible to ship orders the next working day for receipt. Most online orders go out the next day, on occasions the day after. Orders sent to our post office box will take longer since there is not telling how long the post office will take to deliver them. Orders received this way are sent the next day from receipt. Make sure you include your email address so we can alert you when your order has been shipped. Back

CAN YOU SHIP SEEDS OVERSEAS?
We can ship to almost anywhere in the world. It will depend on the import regulations on seeds to the country you are located in. Most countries there are few or no problems but some are more restrictive, we don't have a list since its not that easy for us to find out, plus laws are always changing so it is impossible for us to keep up with worldwide customs.
It is best if you check with you own country's import restrictions before ordering. We will attempt to send shipments anywhere but customs forms need to be completed and so a parcel may be stopped by your country's import officials if seeds are not allowed entry. How customs will deal with such parcels and if you are informed by them is something that we have no control over.
In short we will ship anywhere but it is your responsibility to determine if customs will allow a shipment of seeds to your country.
DO YOU JUST SHIP SEEDS OVERSEAS?
All our products are available for shipping overseas. However due to high shipping costs we don't recommend that you order unless you want a lot. Dried flower packages tend to be large due to the packing required, this increases the price a lot even though they are light. Preserves and tinctures are in glass containers, thus they are heavy thus shipping is costly. It is not really economic to the buyer to ship unless a fairly large quantity of goods is required. ORDERS RETURNED AS UNDELIVERABLE.
It is the responsibility of the buyer (you) to ensure that the address you give us is correct. If the address you give us is incorrect or for any reason the shipping carrier cannot deliver it, then it will be returned to us.
If this happens we will contact you and tell you that your order was returned. At this point you have two choices:
- You can give us a correct address AND send us the cost of reshipping the order to you. Once addition shipping costs have been received we will send the order to the corrected address.
- You can request a refund. We will refund your purchase price, minus the cost of the first shipping.
In no case do we bear the burden of shipping when items are returned because they could not be delivered for any reason.
I DON'T HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT CAN I STILL BUY FROM YOU?

I HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT BUT I DON'T WANT TO USE IT. CAN I STILL BUY ONLINE?
Yes, but its more tricky. Paypal links your account with them to an email address. If you want to pay by credit or debit card and not use your paypal account you need to use a different email address than the one you have listed with them. If you try to use the same email they will automatically force you to log into your account. Back
CAN I PLACE AN ORDER WITHOUT DOING IT ONLINE?
You certainly can!
We accept checks and money orders issued by U.S. banks or the U.S. post office. If ordering with a check the order will not be sent out until the check has cleared. With money orders we ship the next business day if possible
OUTSIDE THE U.S.
For orders outside the US the only option at present is to send us U.S. dollars cash via registered mail. If doing so we recommend that you also send us an email (via our contact us option) with a copy of the order. This alerts us that an order is on the way and also gives us your contact information so we can alert you when your order is being sent out and communicate any problems that may arise.
We are looking into other options for overseas payments.
How to order offline:
- Print out the Order Form. (or print the order once you have everything in the cart from your computer print screen).
- Add all the items you want to buy to the online shopping cart on our site.
- Click on the "Cart" link on right side of top menu bar to display the shopping cart
- Enter your zip code to estimate the shipping costs to your location
- Copy all the item information from the shopping cart to your printed order
- Add the shipping costs, total up the order

We always answer all legitimate questions and comments that come to us. Spurious and sales messages are usually ignored.
If you are having problems please check the following:
1. Make sure that you have added "visualenc.com" to your e-mail whitelist. Visual Encounters is our umbrella company that handles all our email. If you have not done so check your junk box to see if our email landed there.
If your provider is removing spam before it reaches your email you may need to check with them to ensure that they are not blocking mail.
2. Ensure that your in box is not full. All shipping requests are sent out via a non returnable email. If it hits a full box and bounces back we will not know and will not resend the message. If we answer a legitimate question and it bounces back from a full box we will wait and attempt to send the message again. However we only try 2-3 times then give up.
If you are still having problems please send your question or comment again, state that you have tried before. Back
I DID NOT GET A SHIPPING NOTIFICATION.
We only send shipping notifications when the order has been shipped. This is usually within 24 hours of order receipt on a working day - that is Monday to Friday. We don't ship orders on weekends. In some cases if we are busy, backlogged or out working the fields orders may take two days to process. We always send a notification when the order has shipped. Orders sent via regular mail may take a lot longer since they have to reach us before we can fill them. Back
DO YOU HAVE A PRINTED CATALOG?
No. Everything is on our website. We are a small company with only a limited number of items for sale as yet. Having a printed catalog is a little too costly at the moment. As we grow then we will most likely get a catalog but we don't expect to for a few years yet. Back
IS EVERYTHING ON YOUR WEBSITE IN STOCK?
Yes! If an item is sold out we will either remove it from the inventory or when you try and add it to the basket it will tell you that there is none left. We never take orders for items that we no longer have. The only exception may be if you ask for a large order of seeds and we run out trying to fill it. This has not yet happened but it is a possibility. Back
WHY DON'T YOU HAVE A PHONE NUMBER SO I CAN CALL YOU?
We used to list our phone number but sadly had to remove it. This was because we were constantly getting calls asking for advise on how to grow plants. In most cases they were not even plants that we grew and sold!
While we are happy to help our customers if they have a genuine problem we found that these few 'internet entitled' people spoil the service for everyone. They would call again and again demanding more and more of our time to help with their plants or for advise on all kinds of other issues. Some days many hours of productive work were lost, and with a small staff of anywhere between 1-4 people working on our farm we could not afford to have one person just answering questions and giving advise that often had little to do with our own business.
So we had to remove our number. We were all very sad about it since it cuts of genuine customers, but to continue to run our own business we had no choice. If we grow larger and can afford to have a person who just answers the phone they we will most likely restore it.

FAQ FOR SEEDS.
ARE YOUR SEEDS ORGANICALLY GROWN?
Yes we use no pesticides or other materials on our plants. We do use liquid fertilizers during the year which are still under debate by the organic standards commission. These do not in any way effect your seeds. Back
WHAT IS SEMI CLEANED SEED?
Semi cleaned means that not all the plant material from around the seed is removed. Removing every scrap of 'non seed' material is extremely time consuming and is the main reason that seeds cost so much. All our seeds are cleaned and processed by hand not through machinery, so we remove as much material as we can but many seeds are small or the material around them is very difficult and time consuming to remove so we have to leave it there.
The weights we use for seeds take into account the additional material. In most cases you will receive more seeds than listed in the approximate seed number. This process keeps our costs down and provides you with a more generous amount of seed for your money.
WILL THE MATERIAL IN MY SEED BE A PROBLEM?
No it's just bits of plant material from around the seed that cannot be easily removed. Just plant the seeds in the way you would normally the plant material will just decompose and become organic fertilizer for your plants. Back
WHY DON'T YOU CLEAN ALL YOUR SEEDS?
Some seeds are very difficult to remove from their associated plant material. You either need lots of people doing it manually or very expensive and hard to find machines. To keep costs down we do not remove such material but offer it in a semi natural state. One of the main reasons seeds are expensive is that they are so hard to clean up. Leaving material with the seeds allows us to provide you with seeds at much lower cost and larger quantities. Back
HOW DO I CARE FOR MY SEEDS?
All our seed packets come with an growing instruction sheet to make things easy for you. This information is also posted on our website along with photographs of the plants so you always know what to do and what your plants will look like. We recommend that you put your seeds in the refrigerator as soon as you receive them and keep them there. Remove the packets only when you are going to sow the seeds. Any remaining seed should be returned to the refrigerator. This ensures that they stay fresh and viable. Many seeds kept under refrigeration can remain viable to quite a few years. Back
WHY DON'T YOU OFFER MORE VARIETY?
We are a small company. As we grow our farm we will be offering more and more choices and varieties. Back
ARE YOUR SEEDS FRESH?
Yes! We sell only seed collected from the previous growing season. All our seed is stored under refrigerated conditions to ensure that it stays in the best possible condition. Seed companies that do not store their seed this way may be selling you old or dead seed as many seeds to not remain viable for long if left in hot or damp conditions. Always unsure you buy seed from a company that stores their seed under refrigeration. Back
ARE ALL THE SEEDS LISTED ON YOUR SITE AVAILABLE?
Yes! If we don't have a seed available this year or if we run out of that seed it is removed from our website. We never leave anything up and visible that is not for sale. We hate sites that do this! Back
FAQ FOR DRIED FLOWERS.
WHAT IS A BUNCH SIZE?
Bunch sizes vary from plant to plant. All our bunches are represented in photographs along with a scale - we use a US quarter - so you can see exactly what size the bunch is. There is a set of photographs for each type of flower, and each size that we offer. Since flowers are natural material each bunch is unique but your bunch will be as close as possible to the size, fullness and weight as the one in the photograph of the size you select.
Wherever possible we also tell you how long the stems are. In this way you can ensure you get the length of stem necessary for your project.
WHY DON'T YOU DO BUNCHES BY STEM COUNT?
If the plant material is of uniform size we do. However most plants do not have uniform sized heads and many are branched. Using stem count could result in some bunches being much fuller than others. To combat this we attempt to make each bunch the same fullness of head size and count. In some cases this many mean having 40 stems to a bunch where heads are smaller and less branched while another bunch may have 10 stems but have large heads or be more branched. Using this method we attempt to ensure that all bunches are as uniform as we can make them. Back
HOW DO I KNOW WHAT COLOR THE FLOWERS ARE?
Color is almost impossible to represent correctly on the internet. It involves a lot of complex calibration of our machines AND yours. Most people don't want to be bothered calibrating their monitor for color it's time consuming tedious and can be expensive.
Therefore we have tried to match the colors of our flowers to paint chip samples. The collection we used is Behr Premium plus collection available at Home Depot. Each plant in our catalog comes with a description and a paint color number. All you need to do is go to your local Home Depot and check out the colors. We used Home Depot colors because they seem to have the widest distribution so it should be easy for you to find color samples. Back
CAN YOU MATCH THE FLOWERS TO ANOTHER PAINT SAMPLE?
No. It takes a long time to match the flowers to the color samples which is why we picked a range with thought most customers would have access to. We can't do custom color matching or find another sample pallet that is closer to your home. Back
HOW DO I CARE FOR MY DRIED FLOWERS?
Do not place flowers in bright or direct sunlight, the colors will fade. Dried flowers are more brittle that silk ones so some care is necessary. Keep away from pets to ensure their beauty lasts. Use a hair dryer on low cold to blow dust and dirt from plant displays, or use a plant cleaning spray for silk and dried flowers available in many craft stores. Dried flowers do not last indefinitely but with care their colors and beauty can last for many years. Back
ARE YOUR FLOWERS ORGANICALLY GROWN?
Yes. We don't use any chemicals or pesticides on our material it's all grown totally organically so there will be nothing harmful coming into your home. Back
ARE YOUR DRIED FLOWERS SAFE FOR MY PETS?
Yes we do not sell any toxic materials. If your pets should accidentally eat your flower arrangement there should be no harmful effects. However our plant material is meant for decorative and aroma use not for food or any other use. We do not accept responsibility in any way for how plant material is treated, eaten or otherwise once it leaves our farm. Back
