Large Grapefruit sized yellow peppers. Thick walled tasty fruits on tall upright plants. They can grow anywhere from 4-6 feet (1.2-1.8m) in height depending on your location and how good your soil and feed is. Started early they will begin to flower in early summer and continue until the frost kills them. Not a prolific as our red peppers but fruits are larger.
Plant out 24 inches (61 cm) apart with rows at least 24" (61 cm) apart if possible. Plants can get large with a lot of leaves.

These are true yellow peppers. They do not ripen to red, they ripen to yellow and contain different Carotenoids than red peppers. Adding some yellow peppers to your diet helps increase the range of beneficial antioxidants and healthy carotenoids.

The peppers they produce are heavy so plants will need support. Strong single canes can work for yellow peppers as they are less prone to branching than our red variety. However branches may also need support since the fruit get large. Ensure that there is plenty of airflow through the canopy of yellow peppers this ensures good ripening of the fruits. Cages and fencing also work will for these plants.

Grow in a sheltered location away from strong winds as this will blow the plants over. Harvest often. Remove any peppers that have over ripened and were forgotten as they will attract fruit flies and other animals. Ripened peppers have a strong aroma and can attract wildlife for miles to get to them.

Yellow peppers are a great addition to any garden. Most nutritionists insist we 'eat from the rainbow' these peppers certainly help with that providing different compounds than red peppers for a varied diet.
